Thoughts on Blockchain#
If a technology and theory are always and consistently misused in inappropriate fields, then it is not the fault of the people using that technology and theory, but rather the fault of the technology and theory itself.
Therefore, the theory of decentralization upon which blockchain is based is inherently flawed.
Whether it is the current blockchain or Web 3, they are both waving the flag of saving the internet, just like the group of people a hundred years ago who waved the flag of saving the country. What is the difference?
Do you believe that the decentralization advocated by blockchain can save the internet? Then what is the difference between you and the group of people a hundred years ago who believed in a certain ideology to save China?
Just because a certain ideology contains some logic and dialectics does not mean it is correct.
Similarly, does decentralization have any valuable content? Yes, it does. But is decentralization right? No, it is not.
So, is it PoW (Proof of Work) or PoS (Proof of Stake) that is better?#
Whether it is PoW or PoS, they are both wrapped in some correct formulas and theories, and then used in the fields they want to be used in.
No one denies that centralization has its drawbacks, but that does not mean the revolutionaries are right.
Who is correct? I think of some interesting phenomena today, where some capitalist countries that resent communism have become "more like communist countries" in the eyes of the people in communist countries.
I think moderate reformists are more valuable and make greater contributions to society than violent revolutionaries, and the same should apply to the field of technology.
